Dr. Nancy Standart visited our Department

On September 8, 2025, our department hosted Dr. Nancy Standart, daughter of Prof. George Standart, famous founder of our department. Dr.  Standart, who was born in Prague and since her 13 years of age has been  living in England, is herself a biochemist from the University of Cambridge with very impressive curriculum. Her interest in visiting us and getting a picture of how the legacy of her father looks like, was sparked after reading an interesting paper about Prof. Standart written by our colleague from the Department of Chemical Education and Humanities, historian Dr. Věra Dvořáčková.
