Laboratory of Fire Engineering Succeeds in the OPSEC Call of the Ministry of the Interior

The Laboratory of Fire Engineering, led by Assoc. Prof. Milan Jahoda, has been successful in the OPSEC call within the Security Research Programme of the Ministry of the Interior of the Czech Republic for 2023–2029. Over the next three years, the laboratory will carry out the project “Development of Methods and Tools for Quantifying Radiant Heat Flux in Fire-Hazardous Environments”, which aims, among other goals, to support the crisis preparedness of security and rescue services.

Our department participates in the project as a co-investigator in cooperation with the Technical Institute of Fire Protection, with which the Laboratory of Fire Engineering has a long-standing close collaboration. At the same time, Dr. Vojtěch Šálek is returning from an international research stay to support the expert implementation of the project within the Fire Engineering Laboratory. Congratulations and wishing you continued success and ongoing successful cooperation in the years to come.
