Excursion 2025: Master’s Teambuilding in Krčkovice

From September 16 to 19, 2025, the event “Krčkovice 2025” took place for first-year master’s students of the Chemical Engineering and Bioengineering program. A total of 44 students participated in the event. They were accommodated for two nights at the Krčkovice campsite in the Bohemian Paradise and traveled to individual excursions by bus. The entire event was organized by Jitka Čejková and Lukáš Valenz.

The program included six professional excursions and a block of presentations by research groups from the Department of Chemical Engineering. This gave students the opportunity not only to get a firsthand look at the operations of major industrial companies but also to meet their lecturers, classmates, and potential thesis supervisors in a more informal setting.

• Wednesday, September 17 (afternoon): Rohozec Brewery (Malý Rohozec)
• Thursday, September 18 (morning): Crytur (Turnov)
• Thursday, September 18 (afternoon): Lučební závody (Kolín)
• Friday, September 19: Presentations of research groups at the Department of Chemical Engineering (University of Chemistry and Technology, Prague)

Special thanks go to all representatives of the visited companies who took the time to meet with the students, allowed them access to their facilities and laboratories, kindly answered their questions, and helped ensure the smooth and safe course of the entire event.
