INTER-MICRO OP JAK Project Meeting in Liblice
At the 2nd annual meeting of the INTER-MICRO project in Liblice, our student Suada Djukaj achieved an excellent 3rd place in the Best Poster Award competition. This success highlighted the quality and significance of her scientific work and contributed to the good reputation of our faculty. The event brought together nearly one hundred project team members, who shared results, discussed ongoing scientific collaborations, available infrastructure, and further opportunities. In addition to the professional program, the retreat also offered a social dimension – team members could interact informally, for example, during a pétanque tournament in the castle park.
The INTER-MICRO project (Talking microbes – understanding microbial interactions within the One Health framework) is coordinated by Jan Jansa and funded by the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports of the Czech Republic under the Johannes Amos Comenius Programme OP JAK, co-financed by the European Union. The project involves the Institute of Microbiology of the Czech Academy of Sciences, the University of Chemistry and Technology in Prague, and Charles University, with our university represented by the team of Prof. František Štěpánek. Running from January 2024 to June 2028, the project aims to advance our understanding of microbial interactions, their influence on health and the environment, and the possibilities of their targeted manipulation.
